Some HELP with settings

Featured Replies

Hi all,I recently updated from Fs2002 to FS9. I have the lastest version of ActiveSky for FS2004 and registered version of FSUIPC.I have been having the hardest time figuring out how to configure my ActiveSky w/ FSUIPC. Where can I donwload the configuration/settings for best performance between AS04 and FSUIPC for FS9?Pentium 4 -2.4GRDRam 1.24GbNVidia TI4200 64mbHelp most appreciated. Thanks in advanceJulian

Hi and Welcome! For FSUIPC begin with the weather minimums setting. In AS the defaults are a good place to start. Then it's just adjusting for your particular needs. We have included so many options that a "one configuration fits all approach does not work". See the Users Manual for descriptions of the options and ask here if you need more help!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Jim,Thanks for such a quick response.I have an issue of severe wind changes from one direction to another at cruising altitude, which makes my plane crash sometimes, if I have it on a higher simulation speed. How can I change that? Also, my screen blinks continously everytime the scrolling marquee of Active Sky scrolls by during my flight. Then I need to scroll through the views to make it stop by pressing " W " ??????Any other tweeks that you might suggest will be most appreciated. Thanks for your time and effort.JulianDell pentium4 2.4GRDRam 1.25Gb NVidia Ti 4200 64mbWindows XP Proff. Hi Julian,For the winds fix please download and install the MR2 beta which you can find at the top of this forum. For the blinking screen make sure Render to Texture is turned Off in FS and you are using the latest video card drivers.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi Jim,Thanks for the help.Yes, my Render to Texture was checked in FS9. Now my screen does not keep blinking anymore after I un-checked it.All is working fine now, if anything comes up again I'll drop another email. Thanks again for your timeJulian
