AS2004 install: Invalid Drive

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,Having heard great things about AS, I have purchased the software but am unable to install it. My problem is that when attempting to install I reveive an error "Error 1327.Invalid Drive D:"I used to have a second harddrive D: which was used for My Documents and as a scratch disk for Photoshop. It died some time ago and I never replaced it. I just returned My Documents to its default location. I guess the installer is finding reference to the missing drive.I know this is almost certainly a problem with my computer, rather than the installer/software, but any pointers would be very gratefully received. Many thanks,Damien

Hi,I am not sure about this, but you may need to re-install FS so the path to My Documents is correct in your registry.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hi Jim,I'm inclined to agree. Have just been through registry to double check for reference to D drive. Had already done this when drive removed to reinstate function of start menu and few other things that for some reason or another decided to act up. I'm obviously missing something. To be honest my set up is now a bit creaky and full of rubbish. Everything is backed up, I have the day off, its wet outside and I have a cold, so I'm going to do a complete disk reformat/windows reinstall (well overdue), then get to work putting FS9 etc back into place. Then I can play with AS2004. :)Thanks for the quick response.Damien
