Incorrect weather

Featured Replies

Hi. Would it be possible to please check your source for weather imformation for Australia. We are currenty having a rather large thunderstorm and Active sky weather is incorrect. If i us the inbuild Microsoft weather online update it shows correct with a big bad thunder storm. I have noticed the weather seems to be the wrong time. Out by a few hours, behind it seems maybe 12 hours or so...My home Airport is YMEN or YMML.Thanks Rod....

Did you hit FSUIPC -> "Clear all weather" before you refreshed AS ?

Nope did'nt do that! The weather has updated now and shows thunder storms, will have to tinker with some of the settings. Thanks Rod...

This afternoon i have come accross a weird issueI fire up AS first in PAUSE mode.I then fire up FS9Clear Weather in FSUIPCRefresh ASWhat i find now is that on the first write to the weather stations only the "haze" layer (AS haze) is drawn - no clouds - even though the METAR states Few003 for my closest station. I have to actually REFRESH again for it to display the clouds stated in the metar...Now the weird part.....On every refresh...the type of clouds change every time, also the amount of clouds...... first (or second if the first attempt fails) i get stratus (few)second attempt i get cumulus (more dense)third attempt i get a mix of the two... (stratus & cumulus)Now how does that work ?

It's a bug we just discovered over the weekend. You are the first outside user to notice and write about it! You win the prize!! Nope I don't know what it is!!!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Erm...excuse my sense of humour or lack thereof, but was that a sarcastic remark ?That's no way to respond to a customer now is it ?

No, and maybe I'll use little smilies next time instead of !!!Nobody knew of this until testing a newer version this weekend. It is fixed for the up coming Update. Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

So you were serious then ?My appologies to you Jim, yes maybe i took that a bit too serious !Thanks anyway ....i will still carry your banner with pride ! :)
