Strange one. I've used AS from day one with virtually no probs at all and I've got the latest official version. Recently I changed my vid cards and when I next came to run AS all seemed OK until it began the initial weather station update process. At this point I am dumped to desktop. I've tried it several times and the same thing happens each time - I don't get the M/soft error box, just the desktop.I've changed nothing except the vid cards. I have two - an nVidia AGP 6600GT and an FX5900 PCI with latest drivers - 66.93 I think. The first runs two monitors, the second runs one. I've used this combination for a long time with no probs at all. All else works fine.I have a Pent 3.2, 1 gig DDRAM, SATA HD.Any ideas as to what could be going on here. I've rebuilt the .cfg file - that didn't help.Bud

Hi Bud,Change Render to Texture to the opposite that you have it now.Have you added any 3rd party clouds?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

JimMany thanks for the quick reply. I did change RtoT. This has been off - can't remember why now but I think at on, it caused a problem with an add-on aircraft. As you suspected ticking it back to on appears to have solved the issue so far as AS is concerned. Just hope it doesn't lead to the prob which led me to untick it in the first place! Have to say I still can't understand why this is so. I am using the same cloud sets that I did afore I changed the vid cards.Bud
