Flying in offline mode

Featured Replies

Hi there,i usually fly in offline mode with Dynamic Weather enabled. So i download a METAR and set my FS time as desired; after that i start. Now what i need to know is: how should i set flight time? If, for example i fly in eastern US (-6) at local time 09AM is it correct to load the METAR for 03PM ZULU (6 hours later)?Again, from pg. 33 of AS2004 manual...........When Offline, you get to fly with the full range of the forecasted weather (up to 24 hours from start time). You use downloaded or pre-set weather files that supplies the dynamic engine with the weather information. This enables you to fly with accurately changing weather for any 24 hour period in the past as long as you have those weather files. You can also manually create your own dynamic changing weather for any area you want!can anyone please tell me how many files should i download and load for this to happen? How do i create my personal dynamic changing weather? Thanks for helpingLuigi ;-)

Hi,First, dynamic weather in FS04 should always be set to none.1. Download the METAR that is closest to the time you want to fly.2. Eastern US is -5 right now and -4 in the summer.3. Download one file.4. By modifying the TAF portion of the METAR.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
