AS2004.5 B174 Constantly Switching Stations

Featured Replies

I just finished a flight KMIA PBI A699 LOUIZ R514 BDA TXKF.Everything went well with AS for most of the flight except the last 100nm or so. Once Iwas in range of the TXKF station AS2004.5 kept switching stations between TXKF and a whole host of K*** stations (KISP, KN78, KNCA, KNGU, etc). As soon as it would finish updating for one station it would switch back to TXKF. This continued until about 20-30nm out of TXKF.Here is my AS settings. FSUIPC (latest registered version) is set to Minimum Weather Defaults. Also using AS on 2nd PC with WideFS (latest registered version).//AS2004.5 configuration file B174[General]WindowPosX = 6255WindowPosY = 6855DefaultWeatherFolder = C:INSTALLDIRModulesActiveSky2004SuppressionCeiling = 4000SurfaceWindLimit = 10CloudLayerLimit = 5LocalSuppressionRange = 100MinimumVisibility = 0MaximumVisibility = 59LastPlanFolder = NONEIncreasedWake = FalseDisableWindsAloft = FalseForceTstormsWithCB = FalseAutoConvertPlanFiles = TrueDisableVisGraduation = FalseForceDestinationWeatherZone = FalsePreventIcing = TrueOnlineUpdates = TrueExtendedDestinationWindsForce = FalseDisableAllGroundUpdates = FalseGlobalWrites = FalseDepictFS9HazeLayer = TrueExtendTstormLayers = TrueDisableDirectWindControl = FalseVoicePlayback = TrueLocalSuppression = TrueStartupSound = FalseDisableGroundUpdates = FalseUseProxyServer = FalseFogLayerGeneration = TrueUpdateSuppression = TrueOvercastEnhancement = FalseIgnoreFSReadyStatus = FalseFSUIPCWindSmoothing = TrueLimitSurfaceWinds = FalseLimitCloudLayers = TrueAutoGlobalWriteToggle = TrueRainWithTS = TrueDisableUpperLayerGeneration = FalseVisibilitySmoothing = TrueDisableMessages = TrueAutoTimeZoneDetection = TrueUpdateInterval = 10VATSIMData = FalseZuluConversion = -4AloftPredictability = 100WindDriftRate = 0TAFProcessing = FalseEnforceVisibilityLimits = TrueWakeTurb = FalseStartPaused = FalseUseSystemTime = TrueDisableCAVOKClouds = FalseProxyAddress = NONE

Hi Mike,Were those stations in the Closest Station Window or was the data being written for those stations?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

They kept replacing TXKF in the active/closest station window.

No first time I have seen it Jim. I recently did a transatlantic flight CYHZ-EGLL andd I had no problems. However, this was the first time flying into TXKF in a few versions of AS.

May be a database error. Can you give me the everyday name of TXKF? I know many of them off the top of my head, but not that one, and I am not starting FS now, as I am off to bed! I'll get to this tomorrow!!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Sorry :-) Bermuda
