A question about Iceing

Recommended Posts

Guest 320MAD

Hi guys,I have a small question about iceing I hope some day to crash because of it ;) To date I have tried everything from sitting on a russian runway at -39 to flying through clouds at high altitude. I have the "Prevent all icing" option un selected in AS and I don't know if there is a setting I need to make in FSUIPC to activate this. I don't even get an ice warning in any of my aircraft e.g. PSS Airbus, PMDG 737NG or the Flight 1 Meridian. Can any of you please tell me what I need to do to make my plane ice up? I've done everything short of putting my PC in the freezer ;)

Hi Jim,I'm talking about Pitot and Structural icing. I will set the icing higher in FSUIPC. By the way I did manage to crash yesterday thanks to active sky ;) I couldn't believe how realistic the wake turbulance is!!! Did something stupid and took off after an A330 in a cessna 172 ;) needless to say the aircraft couldn't take it... Good job guys.
