In the USA, the limit is 10 SM with actual visiblity usually greater than 10 SM.This can lead to confusion because weather programs will randomly select a visibility between 10 SM and the maximum visibility set in the weather program. The random selection adds variation to the visibility so it's not always unlimited. Radar Contact is simply stating the exact FS visibility that was choosen by the weather program.Bruce
