Both VATSIM and IVAO provide weather that is slightly time delayed for a number of specific reasons.Using the VATSIM option simply sets the weather at your departure and destination airports as per the VATSIM feed, and for no reason other than to give you the same weather as the controller.

Hi,IVAO has not given us, as a payware product, access to their weather server. We ask that you kindly write to them about this. We have been in contact with them many times in the past with no progress made. If enough users write to them, maybe they will change their policy.
