Wake turbulance simulation disabled, still got nailed by it

Featured Replies

Just finished a flight with build 320 (SU1?). I have always unchecked the wake turbulance simulation option (the effect never seemed realistic to me). At FL330 I crossed very close behind another plane at the same altitude and my plane immediately went into a dive, which was always my experience with the wake turbulance simulation, a complete loss of lift. Fortunately I was at the computer at the time and was able to recover. I checked to verify that wake turbulance was still unchecked, and it was. So either the setting is not taking, or this was some interaction with the vertical air simulation. Will try SU2 for the next flight.Mark Kuebeler
