July 6, 200520 yr Hi Guys,I'm getting along a lot better with the configurator now, largely through applying the weather to all stations, not just within 100nm (I'm not convinced the latter works properly). However I just loaded some new photoreal scenery for Invercargill New Zealand and started a flight from there using online weather. Main ASV screen shows Metar from Invercargill 061500z with 30kms vis and two layers of cloud, few and sct. Rather more than this appeared obscuring the photoscenery so I thought use WX Configurator to remove the lower layer. Set the Fetch box for NZNV as depicted on the main screen and the program gave me the Metar for Christchurch (NZCH) also 061500z, 20kms and ovc at 0800. Is this a bug? When I have not brought up the corect station elsewhere I thought it was because the one I asked for was missing but this one is available - it's already in the system.MervynMervyn
July 6, 200520 yr Hi Mervyn,In my last wx_shapshot, NZNV did not have a current report, so ASV uses the closest station that does have a valid report.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
July 7, 200520 yr Hi Jim, As I pointed out in my post, the NZNV metar for 06 1500z was displayed at the same time in the ASV main window when the Configurator was finding NZCH also for 06 1500z. I don't see how one part of the program can display a valid metar and the other not. Indeed the NZNV 061500z metar was displayed also as the nearest metar as scrolling text on the FS9 window. Perhaps the main part f the program got it at update but a few minutes later, when the configurator looked for it, it had been deleted. All very strange - you have to look very closely at what you're calling up to check it's what you asked for.Mervyn
