July 12, 200520 yr I purchased the ActiveSky V upgrade (current ActiveSky 4.5 user). I run ActiveSky 4.5 on my laptop computer that connects to FS via WideFS. I have network shares setup so that I have access to FS dirs on the FS PC.The problem, during my install process (on my laptop) of ActiveSky V, it asks for the location of FS9.exe, when I select browse to point to my shared folder (on the FS PC) it does not show any network shares in the browse dialog so I can't point it to my FS9.exe.So, I guess my question is, how do I make ActiveSkyV install/upgrade on a remote PC that uses WideFS and shares to the FS PC?Thanks, Rob.
July 12, 200520 yr AFAICR, the install instructions include using a mapped drive, and not UNC paths. However, when launching ASV, if it can't find FS9, the dialog it presents _does_ allow navigation to network shares. So, either install with a mapped drive, remove the mapping, and start ASV - or (if its possible) cancel when it asks for FS9, and when you start ASV, select the share.Steve
