Visibility Issues ActiveSky wxRE 1.92.4

Featured Replies

Still flying Microsoft Flight Sim 2002.The other day KIAH had visibility was down to 2.5.ActiveSky picked up the correct cloud layers but visibility was still at 10 miles. I waited waited an waited nothing happened. Is it required to manually adjust the OvercastHorizonVis & RainVisReduction? If it showed up on the metar that vis was 2.5, wouldn't activesky aoutomatically set FS2002 to 2.5? Whether or not those are true? Here is my INI://wxRE configuration file - be careful with edits here[General]WXREOfflinePath = C:Program FilesActiveSky wxREExportPath = C:Program FilesActiveSky wxREOperationMode = OnlineDefaultOfflineFile = defcycle02Z.wxdDisableCloudTransitions = TrueDisableMessages = FalseLowBandwidthWinds = FalseExportMetars = FalseAutoTimeZoneDetection = TrueMETARUpdateInterval = 15FDUpdateInterval = 30UpdateMETAROnNewStation = TrueUseShortTermTAF = FalseWindsAloftSimulation = TrueFS2004Writes = FalseIdlePriority = FalseVATSIMMetars = FalseDefaultForceRange = 60ZuluConversion = -5RainVisReduction = FalseOvercastHorizonVis = TrueDisableForceWindUpdates = FalseTAFProcessing = FalseWakeTurb = TrueDisableUpdatesWhenForced = FalseStartPaused = TrueCloudTransitionInterval = 5MinimumCloudThickness = 200UseSystemTime = TrueDisableCAVOKClouds = FalseProxyAddress = NONEProxyPort = 80Another question, why does the server extract metars from here: "http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/metar.shtml" Instead of here: "http://adds.aviationweather.noaa.gov/metars/"The ADDS METARS are always more current thenthe weather.noaa.gov. Updates seem to take hours sometimes. It's hard to fly in real time weather if the metars don't update as they should. That's the only issue I see with the program. Thanks,Mike

I was flying.So, 4 years ago ADDS didn't exist?

So, Where does The New Active Sky Version 5 get the data from? ADDS or simply NOAA? I hope ADDS since it's more current then the NOAA.
