July 21, 200520 yr I've got AS V build 325, and occasionally get the following message when I try to start it:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/122717.jpgIf I go to my setup file and run a re-install in the "repair" mode everything is fine.I hope I'm not the only one having this problem, but a search on the dll name didn't give any results.Best wishes
July 21, 200520 yr Hi Tim,Well, I know there has been a number of these same posts and I do know what is going on!Your anti-virus software is falsely flagging that file as adware/spyware, but AS has NONE of that. What is happening is that those not so good pieces of software are using the chilkatZip.dll as part of their system, so your software is starting to flag and remove it. Well, it is a legit file and should not be removed. The ultimate solution I tell everyone is to kindly write to your anti-virus company and let them know about this file. Some have even attached the file for them. Then they can examine the file, see that it is clean, and change their database.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg

Umm, any reason why you couldn't rename it and call it in ASV under the new name?I'm not sure this is the answer, as I don't have any logs showing this file being targeted by any security programs (I run Norton AntiVirus and that's it).I'll look further and see if any other programs are altering it.
