August 15, 200520 yr Hi all,i have a problem with the latest version of ASI always have clouds fading in when looking straight. Its hard to describe. I have set the visibility in FS9 to maximum (120nm) i think. So i have beautiful clouds ahead, but 1 third of the screen is clear skies until the horizon. When you fly (FL360) you see clouds fade in on after the other. The upper part of the horizon always is clear of clouds...I have tried every setting in AS but couldnt get the clouds to "always be there" reaching to the horizon. It always looks as i fly into an area with no clouds and the they fade in.Okay my english sucks but please help me, as i really love the software.Greetings
August 15, 200520 yr Hi,80 miles is the maximum cloud draw distance. No matter what you do, you are not going to get clouds drawn to the horizon. A work around is to limit visibility to 50 or 59 and the harsh horizon may soften a bit.Sight draw distance as no affect on this.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
August 16, 200520 yr okay i dont understand this.i dont have this problem with MS default "real weather" or FSMETEOIm talking about clouds only displayed within a certain range of the screen in flight direction and as you fly straigt clouds will fade in an d appear slowly - but they should be there all the time - shown until the horizon...any other idea ?i try to post a screenshot - stay tuned
