Pressure/altimeter settings different

Featured Replies

Hmmm,I've searched the forum for this issue but could not really find an answer. My problem is this; on arrival to an airport i get for example from tower this altimeter, 3003. However, when i look at the activeradar tracking window (the 'large one') and select my arrival data, i notice an altimeter of 3002. The "miniwindow" of activeradar, selected to show 'tracking', shows 3001... (All for the same station!)Sometimes these values differ even more than these. Which one to believe?:) When i check the navlog of ASV it shows 1016... Can it be that it goes wrong during conversion somewhere?I've tried within fsuipc to switch pressure smoothing on and off, it made no difference....As usual I suspect to be the only one with this problem again but maybe someone has a tip:)Cheers,Martin

Hi,My help is that there is a bit of randomness built into FS04. In your example all three values are valid and in line. I did read that at times you are experiencing more variance, but how much more? As far as the nav log: remember that data is gathered when you process your plan and is not updated unless you re-process it. On a long flight the data may be old.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg

OK, it's clear now, especially your remark about the navlog solved a lot hahaSince there is this variance in fs04 i will just take an average. Thanks for the helpMartin
