September 16, 200520 yr Hello, Is there a way for me to download the weather files without using the ASV download function? The reason I ask is - if I am on another PC, or at work, can I get these files? If so, how do I go about doing it, and can I still (somewhere) specify the parameters for time, date, multiple, etc...? Thanks much,Neil :-)
September 17, 200520 yr Hi,No, but you can do multiple installs as long as you are only using one install at a time. A saved archive of one hour will fit on a floppy.Another option is to use the archive feature by using the Download Button.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
September 19, 200520 yr Ok, Thank you Jim...one last question then. Do the names of the downloaded files have to remain static? Some of the files I get are so awsome, that I would like to rename them with a name that indicates the reason I saved it. But will ASV load it? I would not change the extension, just the name itself....if not, I will just start making copies of the files, and rename them back to the original when I want to use them again...sorry to be a pain, I am really just having fun!! Oh-Oh, one more question:P Since I am using ICS pretty much all of the time now, is there a log file, or state file that shows me what ASV selection were used to create the ICS selection? In other words, I download my weather, have ICS on, load a flightplan and go fly. I see spectacular cloud layers generated and everything looks awsome. Is there a way for me to see what the ICS engine used to create my skies? This is in case I want to reproduce similar effects on my own, manually in the future...just another crazy question I guess.... Thanks Jim!Neil :)
September 19, 200520 yr Never mind my second question - I found the .txt file with the ICS info!Neil :)
September 19, 200520 yr Hi Neil,Glad you are having fun!You can re-name the files. We just use the date and time, as this is pretty standard for weather files.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
