Fokker 100/70 and FSNavigator

This is a great (free) aircraft to start learning about heavies. I have the Fokker 70 and FSN working together and have a question about the AutoPilot use. I have a short hop (KLAX-7R / KONT-8L) setup in MSFS2002 with everything working well for consistent auto-landings at KONT from just after take-off roll at KLAX to touch-down using the Fokker built-in SFN controls (i.e., autopilot all the way). However, when I try to do an independent ILS landing (on the same flight) with the A/P (using APR) things go wrong. Does anyone know the correct procedure for using the APR mode of the A/P? It seems to be to turn off the FSN, turn the NAV switch to VOR, turn the A/P off and then back on, and depress APR. Does this sound correct and what to do with the A/T - does it stay off and you fly the thottles by hand??!!ThanksRobert Tiffany

IN fs2002 you HAVE to turn off the A/T prior to landing or you will keep right on trucking down the runway.Don't have the Fokker yet but normally you get just about lined up with the localizer, then select APR (be UNDER the glideslope when you do this). Some a/c will dive toward the glideslope when you intercept, I just monitor and if it seems to be getting too far off then I hand fly the rest of the approach.Deselect FSN first. You mention tuning in the VOR, I assume you mean the localizer frequency for the ILS.No more than a 30 degree intercept angle, I usually go heading mode and try about 20 degrees or less. Check your intercept altitude for the glideslope.
