Featured Replies

Hi all,I am having the following probs when using active sky:I installed the programme and dowloaded the update off hifisim website. The use of the programme has caused problems with flight sim. 1. When creating a flight, the aircraft is no longer displayed when selecting an aircraft from the aircraft window.2. When using Level D 767, on selecting the pushback window, the bottom half of the screen is all black.3. When the weather is being updated, the instrument panel overlay flashes until the update is complete.4. Frame rates have been adversly affected. My system is:AMD Athlon 3.3ghz Processor,1GB of Ram256mb 3d Graphics card.Broadband internet connection.Any help would be appreciatedRegardsCraig

Hello Jim;Unfortunately, I didn't see your response to Craig's questions. I am very interested in your response since I am also experiencing the same problems with Active Sky wxRE and FS9.1) My aircraft texture is either gray on don't display at all sometimes.3) My screen also flashes (blank for 2 sec.) when wxRE refreshes it self. I always use wxRE in an offline mode since I hate being on the internet for long period. My PC is a Pentium 4 / 2Ghz; 1.2GB Ram; ATI Radeon 9800 PROMy BIOS setting is at 8X AGP and 128MB for AGP Aperture size. This shouldn

Hi,From memory I will try:First, please remember that ASwxRE was designed for FS2002 and updated to work with FS2004. Some of the weather features of FS2004 will not be used when using wxRE.The texture issue is not due to wxRE as we do not touch the graphics engine at all. Most of the time it is a video driver issue or a system issue. The flashing is usually due to your Render to Texture setting in FS2004. Set it the opposite way it is now and see what happens.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg

Hello Jim;Thanks I will try the "Render to Texture" setting in FS9.Best Regards.
