October 11, 200520 yr Strange anomaly I have seen since I bought and installed ASV-E, is sometimes I can be cruising at altitude, and it will download the latest METAR report, and viola the cockpit will all of a sudden go from showing 250 kts to 0 kts and the plane will speed up faster and faster, eventually it will pop back up with the speed (because the autothrottle speed is set at 250 kts when it comes back on it will be going around 400+ kts)I have never had this happen before installing ASV-E so I am a little perplexed. Dont get me wrong Im not blaming ASV-E and it doesnt happen to al planes either. In this case its some freeware A340-500, and its happened with a few others. Anyone have an idea?
October 12, 200520 yr Hi,You have got to make sure that Pitot heating is turned On. And don't always think that flipping a switch does it! In some panels that is just a dummy switch. The best way is to use Shift/H. If this is a real problem then there is an option to Disable All Icing.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
