haveing problems with icing can anyone help

Featured Replies

Just after take off in any aircraft my AIS goes zero for about a minute then comes back on and then I am doing about 290 KIAS and need to slow down. I have my pitot switch on while this happens so it is not a human error. I was told this was an icing issue with AS6 and that I should turn it off to correct the bug but is there a patch or something I can do to fix this issue and if not I am reporting the bug.thanksLB

Hi LB,Does this happen with default planes?Sometimes you do need to toggle p-heat off then back on.Yes, one way is to turn off icing. The beta team cannot reproduce this, the development team cannot reproduce this, and only 2 users have now reported this.If you have the registered version of FSUIPC what is the icing level set at?Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

Gentlemen,It has happened to me as well. I don't worry about it. The correct procedure would be to:1) Fly the Plane2) Disengage any Auto-Throttle components you have running3) Fly The Plane4) Set throttles manually5) Fly The Plane6) Wait for Pitot tube to clear and IAS to re-establish itself7) Fly The Plane8) Reengage the Auto-Throttle component9) Fly The Plane
