ActiveSky 5 - Radar Problem

Featured Replies

Hi,I have some problem about radar. Everthings work correctly, but when I activate radar (with CTRL+F12) and green light in on, the radar is empty. I cannot view nothing.I can view correctly the airport situation, (temperature, etc) but the radar is empty.Could someone help me to solve this problem ?How I can enable correctly the radar.I'm using FSUIPC versione 3.50 registered. Thanks a lot in advance.Regards.Jeanluc

Hi, I also have this problem of Radar showing nothing even though I load up all types of precipitation weather, online or offline. I even loaded up blizzard and still no radar image. I'm using FSUIPC latest registered version.Note : I previously upgraded from AS2004.5 to ASV to ASV Enhanced. I have also enabled Mips and DXT. Everything else works fine. Please advise.Lep

I just spent 3 hours uninstalling / reinstalling ASV Enhanced, and now although I can get radar image, it reduces my framerate a lot, and even then it is at a default of the second lowest resolution. When I set it to highest radar resolution, the whole sim freeze up !! I have to reset back to low res only then it's okay. What's going on here? I used the older ASV and it was okay.Lep

Hi,Glad you got things working. Yes, increasing the Radar Detail does cause a FPS hit. Depending on your machine you may need to set this to low or second from low. Also, do not use the alternate radar render option and try Radar Details both ways.Nothing has changed in the Radar between the 2 version. Please let us know if you need more help!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg

Thanks Jim. Tried your advice and everything works great now.Lep
