November 25, 200520 yr I'm looking in AVSE's settings and it says I have 512 textures set??I installed 128, but not sure of how to activate them...?
November 25, 200520 yr Hi,In AE, select the 128 clouds from the resolution portion, in the upper left. Then submit a new set to FS04.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
November 25, 200520 yr Jim:Thanks, but I did find the 'enhanced area' and I found out that I've always selected 512, so I need not change to 128. ;-) Are these settings only when one is 'creating' WX scenarios, or are the cloud settings consistent to actual WX as well, IOW, as the flight plan and stations dictate cloud type and conditions? Thanks, again.~`Ron
November 25, 200520 yr Hi,I am confused now! What "enhanced area"? Yes, if you want to use 128 bit clouds you do need to change the resolution option in the Active Environment screen.ASVE will use the resolution you have choosen no matter the situation. So under Active Environment what resolution is on? 512,256,128 or 64?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
November 26, 200520 yr Jim:YOUR confused! ;-) Now I'm in trouble. The readme says run setup and 128 is enabled. Then it says: "To enable mip maps and/or DXT you must run the MIP/DXT conversion process in the AE interface (even if you have already enable Mips/DXT for the previous 256 and 64 texture sets."When I went into the AE interface I saw nothing like that on the main menu. I went into the ASVE area and noticed it was already set at 256. I don't get it. Doh?~`Ron McLeod CYEG
November 26, 200520 yr Hi Ron,OK let's get this!!1. I'll say that the 128 clouds are installed.2. Click on the Active Environment button.3. Under Texture Conversion click on the Enable Mips. Wait for this to finish.4. Now, on that same screen under Resolution click in the 128 X 128 little circle.5. Submit new clouds into FS04. You can do this from the AE screen or shut down and re-start ASVE.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
