December 27, 200520 yr Hi All,First off, great product & fantastic support. Now, I am a bit confused on a couple of things so I hope you can help me out.1) I have ASV-Enhanced installed on my pc into FS9 & now I have installed the new Asv6 & graphics also. What i would like to know is do i need to UN-insatall ASV-Enhanced completely?2) I always fly with Active sky dowmloading the weather every ten minutes on-line, but it is here that I am confused. In the graphics section what clouds do I need to select? At the moment it says Random All, will this show the correct clouds to match the weather that it is downloading from the servers? It just seems there are too many options now. All I want to do is fly in the weather the servers are downloading & are close to the real thing as possible outside.3) In previos active skys I have always started as follows:Start fs9, select aircraft, select time & day, select airport, set weather option to user. I then minimise fs9 & then start AS. AS then starts to download the weather for my airport I am flying from even though I have not gone to the runway yet.But this new version does not do this, it always downloads the weather for KSEA. I now have to start my flight into the game itself & then start the AS process. Is this correct?ThanksMike
December 28, 200520 yr Hi Mike,Thanks for the comments! Let's take these things one at a time:1. Use the Add/Remove list and start with any cloud sets you installed, the 128s and/or the 512s. Then work your way up the list from ASVE to ASV.2. No, Random All means just that, random textures not based on anything. BUT there is an easy way to get what you are after! I will go through the steps and this will lead to #3, your start up procedure. In Asv6 Options go to the Graphics part on the right side. Click on the Auto-Submit box. Click on the Browse button and chose the wx Influenced Theme. Now that name shoul be in the Full Sky Theme box. Do the same thing by the Cirrus Theme boxand chose the wx Influenced Theme. Click on the big Save and Exit button. Now, at this point you will never need to open ASG again, unless you want!3. The startup procedure:Start ASv6: Did you know you can change the default KSEA ariport to anything you want? There is an option on the left in the middle!!Enter a flightplan on the new route screen. It's OK just to enter the codes and a general speed and altitude. Process the plan. This sets the textures according to the weather at your departing airport.Start FS04 and go to your departure airport. The main textures will not be changed so you can move all over and not change the textures from the previous step. There is no need to set User Defined weather each time, you don't even need to visit this screen.So:1. Start ASv62. Enter and process a plan3. Start FS04 and flyHope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
