Support Topic: ASv6 - FS Disconnected Message

Featured Replies

Hi All,Since release of ASv6 there have been a number of these Support requests dealing with this message. But until I just saw a screen shot of the problem I had totally forgot about the reason.Users, If you are seeing this message in the Windows Toolbar then we know what you are seeing. For some unknown reason there is a communication blockage and the Toolbar message stays the same. This does not mean that ASv6 is disconnected! After some time the message may change. The only place to look is at ASv6 itself, in the Fetch A Report window. If that window has no disconnect message, then you are good. Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpg

Yeah I have noticed this behavior for a long time now (Maybe even way back to AS2004, but definitely with ASV) hehe. Anyways, if you're really adamant about having it show up correctly in the taskbar- I have found that "hiding" ASv6 to the system tray and then double-clicking the icon to bring it back will update the taskbar and fix it. Again though this is a cosmetic problem only- ASv6 works correctly regardless of what it says in the taskbar.Ruahrc
