Bad framerates

Featured Replies

Hi, Recently I just reinstalled flightsim and ever since I've been getting quite bad performance when running Activesky 6. In ASG, I have set the cloud resolution to 256x256 and I'm also using DXT3 textures and prior to reinstalling flightsim I didn't encounter many performance problems. Evene when flying through very rough weather I found myself getting very good framerates. Since reinstalling though, flightsim performance has gone down drastically. My framerate traget is set on 25fps and I get this before starting up Activesky6, but when I do start it up, the framerates go down to between 10-15fps. I would appreciate some help on this issue. And please don't reply that its my graphics card and I need to go a lower resolution because as I said above, I tested Activesky 6 before my reinstallation of flightsim and I was getting very good framerates. What could've gone wrong in between? Also though I notice that the cloud textures look a lot like 32bit instead of DXT3, despite me choosing the setting of DXT3. Cheers,James

>Hi,>>Had you edited the texture bandwidth entry in your old>FS9.cfg?>After your reinstall did you submit new ASG textures?>>Hope this helps,>JimThe only editing I've done to the FS9.cfg is adding the FSSound.dll entry to it. And yes I've submitted the textures to FS in ASG.Cheers,James
