I have used AC2004.5..Then ASV..Then ASVE....AND NOW THIS!All i can say is wow!I dont know how you guys do it but you make it better everytime.I am sure this will be my fault but i have just tried for the first time on using AS6 the download archive weather function because today when i was out with my family it was very very foggy.I listened to my scanner at the local airport that i live near (EGNM uk ) and it said that the RVR was 200 mtrs...I have never seen fog like it..Cat3 autolands were going down a treat!Alot of aircraft were going to there alternate airports and a few were holding 3000 feet up.I really wanted to try and do a full Cat3 autoland to see what they saw and get a feeing but i cannot get the weather to download..It says (in a little box-window) that" Invalid weather file Folder...Please set a valid folder before continuing "I am not sure what this error message means i should do...any help guys would be great becuase i dont know how long the archives are stored or should i say how far back can i get weather from?Kind Regards Paul

Hi Paul,Thanks for the words! The weather will be archived, so no worries there!Open the ASv6 options screen and see if you have an entry in the Default Weather File Folder window. It should be DRIVE LETTER:YOURFS04FOLDERModulesASv6Save and ExitHope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg

Hi JimThanks for the reply.I have the same destination folder as you described....?I forgot to mention that i have tried this before the SU2 update and after installing the new update which i downloaded yesterday.Still no joy?Kind Regards Paul

Also one quick question chaps....How can i get the latest AS6 Banner/proud supporter please...I use this in every forum i am a memer of just to pass the word about how good your work really is...As if i have to pass the word eh!Cheers Paul UK.

I dont belive this now...ha haNow i have tried your good settings in one of your threads called "realistic weather settings" and now i still get the above error message "invalid weather file folder..etc" AND i now cannot even run the program because i get a NEW error message saying "Error accessing internal components (UNENCRYPT STEP-,Please run the repair operation via the ASV6 Setup.exe to replace the req'd files) "I have NO idea what the heck this lot means so i hope you guys do...ha ha.If not there is no need to worry becuase i can soon do a full re-install and fresh install....i am 100% sure you guys have already tried this so i dont know why it does not work on my setup. Thanks again Paul UK.

Hi Paul,Let me combine things here:1. The error message is because your anit-virus may have removed a necessary file.2. To fix this and the first problem let's try a total uninstall/reinstall with anti-virus turned off.3. For the banner: http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.and add jpg after that periodOf course remove the old banner from your sigHope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg
