February 4, 200620 yr I just paid for and unpacked Activesky via the Flight1 web site. I think their installer is corrupt. It installs very quickly to a point where it says "Removing Files", then hangs there. I have let it sit for 10 minutes now in this condition and dcided to post here for help.Is there an alternate way to get the installer? This has to be a corrupt installer, as the wrapper worked okay, but I know for a fact that Activesky installs in the Modules folder of FS9 . . . however when it is sitting int he "removing files" portion of the install, a point where files should already be installed, nothing is there.I have no prior versions of Activesky installed. This is a first-time install on this installation of FS with this product. If I can get a WORKING version of the installer, that'd be great./ I can send appropriate information to verify I am indeed a paying customer. My name is in the Flight1 database.
February 4, 200620 yr Fixed. I was wrong. I forgot -- YES I had reformatted my FS partitions - NO I did NOT reinstall windows. Upon remembering this, I went in and nuked ALL registry entries that contained "Activesky" or "ASV" and then reinstalled the installer from the Flight1 wrapper. This cured the issue and she installed gracefully and quickly.Figured I'd pass this on in case anyone else ever has this issue.
