ASV textures display

Featured Replies

Need some information or help for ASVI have my FS9 installation setup over a LAN using WideFS, FS9 on my main PC and utilities (eg: Squawkbox, servinfo, etc) on a second PC. I have ASV installed on the second PC and active radar on the main FS9 PC as per installation instructions. What I am interested to know however concerns the weather textures that are in the "ASVModulesASVActiveEnvironment" folder if they are there on my second PC how is FltSim able to display them within the FS9 program. Should they be installed in FS9 to replace the default textures ????? I have not been able to find any info regarding this query and if they should be installed to FS9 what is the proceure or alternativly how does ASV display them in FS9.Or am I simply missing something :-rollAny help on this subject would be much appreciated

Jim or Damian will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the textures that ASV decides are needed are copied from the ASV folders to the FS9 texture folders (which is why it needs to do this before FS9 is started.) In your case, they would be copied across the LAN....jim
