February 17, 200620 yr I signed up just to share this piece of information for your: after three days of desperation trying to prevent ActiveSky from crashing randomly, but especially after switching windows or from and to Full Screen View, I discovered that by disabling the "Vertical Sync" feature of my (nvidia 6600 based) graphics card, I could not stop CTDs but also gain 10 fps. You find the Vertical Sync option in the Control Panel > Display, or by right-clicking the desktop and selecting "Properties". Then go to Settings - Advanced. The controls wills be in different places for different card manufacturers, check you manual if necessary. For nvidia cards, look for "Performance and Quality settings" - you can enable Anisotropic filtering, but you do disable Vertical Sync and save yourself a lot of trouble. Peace
