Active Sky X - Weather Download Failure

Featured Replies

First, I apologize for the length of the appended text. Active Sky X is installed and appears to work successfully except for the weather download - a rather material problem. As shown by the log data (below), the system is connected to the server "Successful connection to HiFi DataNet X Servers is verified!", and all seems to function well. Having read the FAQ, I am lead to believe that if the connection is made to the server, then there should be no problem with the weather. Any assistance / ideas would be appreciated! Jim,I would like to configure the firewall / proxy if needed, but I don't have enough information to work with... What is the address (IP/URL) of the weather server(s), what proxy & ports (in / out)? Where do I configure ASX to use the proxy server (i.e., server address, ports)? Thanks, Les

Jim,I appreciate your assistance. This computer does not have a firewall that I can just tell to allow ASX.exe. The computer is connected to a Microsoft Domain using the Microsoft Firewall Client that connects through ISA Server on the Domain Server. ISA Server rules are defined based on IP address, Protocol, and Ports. Unless I know the address of the weather server(s), the protocol used, and the ports, there is nothing I can do to configure ISA server to allow the connection, or even determine if this is where the problem is.Please note, all ASX communications are working fine EXCEPT for the weather download - so something is different there and I need to know what that difference is and how to configure either ASX or the ISA Server. Thanks, Les
