What features manipulate aircraft trim??

Featured Replies

Hi All,Quick couple questions.........In ASV6, what features/options change the trim settings of the aircraft I'm flying? It appears that "wake turbulence" is one of the features that moves the trim up and down to simulate wake turbulence. Unfortunately, when this happens, I hear the trim wheel going up and down, and the trim indicator jumps around. I have disabled the wake turbulence feature, but I still find I have uncommanded trim changes, although less dramatic, like when I flair for landing. Is this the VAS option? Or something else? I also randomly experience trim changes mid-flight. If I turn off the VAS and wake turbulence, does that disable all the options that would manipulate the trim setting? As best I can tell, if I shut down ASV6, I don't experience these trim changes, so I'm thinking it must be the source. Finally, if this is indeed the case, is there another way to simulate wake turbulence and VAS? I'd like to have those enabled, but without it controlling the trim setting. Thanks in advance.Kind Regards,Steve

Hi,It could be wake turbulence during a landing if you are following too close behind another aircraft. The main ASv6 window reports these events so you can check that. Also, make sure that Increased Wake Effect is turned Off.As far as in-flight you can reduce the Auto VAS Frequency and the Auto VAS strength to your liking.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
