June 26, 200619 yr Hi,I'm using AS6 build 500. I've turned off Haze in both AS6 and FS9 (in the AS6 Options menus) but I'm still getting a Haze layer while on the ground which obscures the cloud details, kind of annoying. Could the visibility limits in the METAR report be controlling Haze irrespective of the settings? It seems to clear up around 10000 ft. I noticed a parameter to suppress updates under 10000 ft? Could this have somethng to do with it? Which settings do I need to change to prevent this from happening? Thanks,Bill
June 26, 200619 yr It says the editing period has expired on my previous post ..Anyway, the location I was at was KSAN which has several Mil bases around, I read somewhere on this forum that Metars from Mil bases adversly effects the visibility settings? Could this be a factor as well? Again both FS9 adn AS6 Fog/haze have been disabled. Thanks again,Bill
June 26, 200619 yr Hi Bill,Yes that is what it is and also yes, haze is used by FS04 to limit visibility. If you want to avoid this you can set the minimum visibility to 10 or so and you will never get less than 10SM.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/
June 26, 200619 yr Thanks Jim,As a newbie, I'm just discovering new features all the time and trying to fine tune it as realistic as possible.I flew from KSAN to KLAS last night, went through heavy T-storms over the desert, the lightening was so awesome. We had a real Summer storm pass over San Diego earlier in the day and was headed East. Now that is immersion. Thanks,Bill
