June 28, 200619 yr Before buying FS Realtime, I wrote the developer, Joshua Robertson, for what 3D Software might be planning given the advent of FSX. I'm using their product now on my WideFS Client, interfacting with FS2004 on the FS9 PC. Here's his reply:---Insert -----"As you may know, Microsoft is poised to release their new flagship flight simulator product, "Microsoft Flight Simulator X". Microsoft also is poised to release their next operation system, "Microsoft Windows Vista". When these products are released, it is our goal at 3D Softworks to work with Microsoft, as well as Pete Dowson (creator of FSUIPC) and Dennis Thompson (creator of the World Time Zone scenery) to continue development of the FS Real Time project.Even if Flight Simulator X has perfect accuracy in regards to maintaining its own time and date, FS Real Time will still be extremely useful in its ability to make extremely fine-tuned adjustments that are just not possible with a flight simulator alone. Unlike in its early years, FS Real Time is no longer just an application by which the time in flight simulator is corrected and maintained. Instead, FS Real Time has evolved into a type of platform by which the time and date can be controlled in the flight simulator with almost exacting precision. What this means for example is that if you wanted to set the time and date to the exact moment of sunrise on a particular date, then that is entirely possible. This level of control gives you extended capabilities beyond that which the flight simulator alone provides. We at 3D Softworks also maintain a repertoire with other 3rd-party vendors in the flight simulation community. If a problem arises with a 3rd-party product, we will work with that 3rd-party vendor to resolve any incompatibilities between our products and theirs.Hopefully this answers your question. If you need further assistance, please feel free to reply. ;)Regards,Joshua Robertson (creator of FS Real Time) 3D Softworks Design Studios http://www.3dsoftworks.net"--------------------------------Ron_CYEGhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_pf.jpg
