WideFS client not working correctly

Featured Replies

I've got FSUIPC 3.65 and WideFS 6.65 working correctly (Squawkbox works, so does my remote moving map). I've got AS6 set up on my Main FS9 PC and am trying to set it so I'll have the option of running it on the WideClient machine as well.I followed the instructions and the "how-to" pinned at the top of the forums, and have AS6 installed in C:program filesASV6 on the wide client machine, with the proper pointers (and permissions) to the FS9 directory and the application data folder. The relevant lines from ASV6.ini are shown below:FS9Path = H:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9PersonalAppDataFolder = F:Documents and SettingsTimothy MetzingerApplication DataNow ASV6 seems to start ok, but the airport that is selected for the closest reporting station is nowhere near the aircraft location. For instance, when parked at the gate at KSMF, the WideClient ASV6 chooses KFRI for the nearest station. If I run ASV6 on the main PC it works fine.Any Ideas?

update.... a shutdown and restart of WideClient may have fixed the problem... more later.-Tim
