July 12, 200619 yr I own version 4.5 and am going to purchase version 6. In version 4.5, I didn't need to file a flight plan for Active Sky to work -- I started a flight within flightsim and then opened Active Sky which loaded the weather . Is version 6 the same way? I hope so.
July 13, 200619 yr Yep works great with or without a plan. I think the main reason for a plan is maybe for flights with a large aircraft to set some of the destination parameters or to get a weather report pre-flight for the trip.
July 13, 200619 yr Hi,A few things are different since 4.5:1. If you are making any graphics changes through ASG either manually or automatically, you need to start ASv6 before FS04 and make the changes. After FS04 is started, only the cirrus textures can be changed.2. If you are using Wx Influenced textures then your departing airport or a flight plan must be entered.3. If you are forcing any weather conditions, then a plan must be filed. July 13, 200619 yr This all is very good news. One question: what do you mean by forcing weather conditions?
July 13, 200619 yr Hi,Some users like to force or "lock in" their destination weather and their are options to do that. So for this, a flight plan must be used in order to tell ASv6 which weather to lock in.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/
