August 9, 200619 yr Hi, I am using the fantastic Tongas Fjords from Holger and the gang. I have a flight starting in Sitka. Temp. is listed as 14c. I hope this does'nt sound stupid: How does one know what temp is in everyday speak? 14c is actually 70 degrees? I am confused by this. Thanks.
August 9, 200619 yr You'll need to do a conversion from Celsius to Fahrenhiet (at least until your country converts to the metric system. heh.)The quick and dirty method: double it and add 30. 14 x 2 = 28 + 30 = 58.The precise method: multiply it by 9/5ths and add 32. 14 x 9 = 126 / 5 = 25.5 + 32 = 57.5Or use an online conversion website, such as http://www.onlineconversion.com/temperature.htmRegards,...jim
