Featured Replies

g'day, i have a new computer that is fltsim specific and will never be online - i want to buy active sky 6 and i know i can buy the cd version, but if i need to register online there is a problem.can i buy as6 on cd and simply load that onto my non-internet computer?cheersboleropilot

Hi,Thanks for your interents in ASv6!No, registeration is not Online so that is OK. Do you have a computer that is Online though? You will need some way of downloading weather data or you will be limited to the one data file we provide or the Wx Configurator where you can design your own weather. If you have an Internet machine, then I can explain how you can set things up to get current weather data.Just let me know, Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

g'day Jim, thanks for the quick replymy 'old' computer (this one) is still online compatible so i can get on any time to check emails and download various stuff, i'm now aware that with piracy issues there are some curly procedures i've had to go through to transfer some stuff to my flightsim computeri would like to get current weather data when flying if poss, i assume that is available for australia? i live in south east queensland, btw, not far from the capital city of Brisbane - i'm also only 15 nm from the RAAF base at Amberley (i do a lot of flights from here).i'll go ahead and order ASv6 nowthanksdave T (boleropilot)

Hi Dave,Thanks for the purchase! What you are going to do is install ASv6 on both machines. Then you can use the Internet machine to download and save the current worldwide weather or archived weather. This weather is saved in a file small enough to fit on a floppy disk. Then you can put those files on your FS04 machine and load them into ASv6 using the Load Wx button. If the computers are networked then it can be easier than that moving the files OR purchasing WideFS and a registered version of FSUIPC and run ASv6 over your network. Please let me know if you need any more help with this or anything else. Thanks again,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
