October 12, 200619 yr Hi! Running ASVE 6 and I am very satisfied.. but there is one thing that bothers me! When the METAR report states that the weather is all overcast, and that its shouldnt be able to see the ground when over the cloud level, I still have this nice weather, with only a couple of clouds below, but it gets overcast when I approach the altitude where the clouds are reported... Can anyone tell me why its never possible to have the sky completely filled up with clouds(so much its not possible to see any ground), what shall I do with my settings etc??
October 13, 200619 yr Hi,Thanks for the words! This is a pretty complex thing! I will list some suggestions:1. Clouds at 100% 3D and maximum coverage in FS04.2. Frame rates locked to a low enough number.3. Cumulus vs Stratus checked off in ASv6.4. Overcast Enhancement On.5. Do not limit your cloud layers or limit them to 5.6. Do not be located exactly at the station. Some users have reported that this causes a "hole" in the overcast.7. Make sure that OVC is part of the METAR. I am pretty sure you have done this!8. Make sure that you are within the 2 mile range of the reporting station. Outside of this you may be getting a blending of weather. Please give these a try,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
