ASG vs FE Clouds & Sky Graphics

Featured Replies

Hidee Ho Fellow Travelers...Recently installed ActiveSky/ActiveSky Graphics. I also have been using Flight Envir. (v3 update). I've been trying to understand all the instructions, setup panels, etc, etc. and at 62 yrs. of age, that's quite a feat!! Question....How do I know if I'm using the ASG clouds/sky or my FE clouds/sky stuff? Is there a way to switch between the two so that I can see the differences and decide which of the two products I might want to use as my primary cloud/sky textures source? I mean, I push and click on icons and radio buttons on various setup panels in the products and when it's all said and done and I go flying, I don't know which product I'm really looking at up in the sky. By the way, I see the acronym CB alot (e.g. force thunderstorms with CB on). What does that mean? :-zhelp

Hi,1. The program you used right before starting FS04 will be the program whos textures you will see. To see ASG textures, run it last. To see FE textures run it last!2. That option can be used especially with Europe flights so that a CB METAR code may trigger rain, lightening, and thunder. Without that option on, the CB code may not produce those events. I leave mine on and just leave it.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
