October 22, 200619 yr Hello People from the AVSIM community !I am just debating with myself if i shall buy this product.Let me explain what bothers me the most in FS 2004 and now at FS X.Its the weather transition in the "real weather mode - updated every 15 minutes ". As for example sometimes i have overcast weather with rain somewhere at the airport - i take off and shortly after Dept. the weather changes immediatly and you get nice skies with only scatted clouds. This is so unrealistic. Same as landing somewhere vice-versa. Nice weather and immediately overcast with no visibility. Is Activesky getting rid of the problem ?2) Is active sky giving you the whole wheather siutation wehn you fly long haul ? with winds etc. Plus calculating exactly flight time due to winds ?Please advise and thanks in advancemarek form LOWW
October 22, 200619 yr Hi Marek,Thanks for writing to us.1. Weather transitions are smoothed through AS. The only situation that still gives any program trouble is visibility smoothing. It is still possible to get a visibility jump. But weather transitions are smooth, even after an update.2. Our basic weather planner will give you weather at points along your route and a time based on your cruse speed and altitude using our winds data. For a more exact flight time we recommend FS Build which can use our winds data. Please ask if you have other questions!Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
