Can't get Active Radar working

Featured Replies

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this. I'm having difficulty getting active radar to function. Nothing happens when I press Ctrl and F12 per the instructions. I had it working with a previous install of Active Sky 6.5. But I recently deleted the program and reinstalled it because I was having other issues that have since been corrected. Now, for some reason, Active Radar will no longer initialize when hitting this key combination. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! The Captain

Hi,Is this with FS04 or FSX? Is Active Radar in the Flights pull down menu in FS04. Is Active Camera installed? Please let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

Hi Jim. Thanks for getting back with me. I'm using FS2004. As I mentioned, the Active Radar worked fine the first time I installed it. I then deleted AS because of some other problems that I've since worked out. Since I've installed it again, I've been unable to get it to work. I don't see any file called Active Camera. What apparently worked automatically the first time no longer does. Appreciate your help in getting it to function. Thanks.

Hi,Active Camera is another utility. You would know if you installed it or not, so it is safe to say you do not!If you go to the Flights pull down menu is Active Radar an entry?Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

It is ever since I manually placed the Active Radar module into the FS modules folder. Now when I hit Ctrl-F12 all I get is a black popup screen over the main cockpit interface. Should I just do another reinstall? Maybe the problem is my default folder setting at the bottom of the options screen. What should that be assigned to? I know these are a lot of questions but I really love this program and want to get the most out of it. Thanks again.

Hi,Yes, please do a uninstall/retinstall cycle.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

That did the trick. A bit of operator error on my part was part of the problem. The radar is now up and running. Thanks again for your help!!
