FS9 and ActiveSky6.5

Featured Replies

I am still using FS9 my computer needs a replacement so I am settling with FS9 for now (still not decided how what hardware for FSX). I have a P4 3.02GHZ (Celeron) 1Gbyte Memory and an old FX5200 (128Mbyte). I just bought Active Sky which I am impressed with but trying to do a short hop from Heathrow to Orly Paris I am getting 20FPS with FS9 real weather but when AS kicks in frames go down below 8 FPS. I did not see any difference whether I use the Active Clouds or not. What are the best settings in Active Sky to have a flyable FS and real weather. I usualy fly the PSS A320.Thanks

Hi,Thanks for the purchase and welcome! Try to limit your cloud layers to 3 in ASv6.5. Also, try with cloud draw distance set to 30 in FS04. Please elt us know if that improves things.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
