November 3, 200619 yr I'm a newbie here and want to say at once how much I love Active Sky, which has transformed the way I fly. Thanks, guys! I do, however, have one problem. No matter what I do, I cannot get the Options page to accept a checkmark against TAF Processing. It isn't greyed out, but it won't accept any input. Every other option works just fine except that one.I've un/re-installed without success.Everything else works fine. Any thoughts please?PS I don't use WideFS.PPS I searched the forum for this topic but could not find anything directly relevant to my problem.
November 3, 200619 yr Hi,I have never heard of this either! Can you get the pop up help to appear if you hover over that one box? I know I can instruct you to edit the .ini file, where settings are stored, but we don't like to go that route. Drag the Options screen over a bit and then see what happens. Please let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
November 4, 200619 yr Jim, thanks for your response.1. What pop-up help? Nothing of that kind ever shows up on the Options screen in my version.2.Dragging the Options screen around doesn't have any effect.Don't want to burden you unnecessarily, but thought it might be helpful if you had my system spec., herewith....OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Home EditionVersion 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600OS Manufacturer Microsoft CorporationSystem Name JOHNSystem Manufacturer Dell Inc.System Model Dell DXP051System Type X86-based PCProcessor x86 Family 15 Model 6 Stepping 4 GenuineIntel ~2793 MhzProcessor x86 Family 15 Model 6 Stepping 4 GenuineIntel ~2793 MhzBIOS Version/Date Dell Inc. November 4, 200619 yr Jim, eager beaver that I am, I jumped the gun and edited the .ini file anyway, and I attach a screen shot of the resulting error message. A Vatsim problem...?Regards, John
November 4, 200619 yr Hi,No that is is. Uncheck the Use Vatsim option and the TAF box will be able to be checked. VATSIM should be only on when you are Online with VATSIM. TAFs should not be used as it might cause weather differences. Once you are done with VATSIM you can remove the option and turn TAFs back on.Thanks much!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
