[FSX + AS65] Weather just partially updated

Featured Replies

Hi,When using ActiveSky 6.5 to update weather in FSX, only things like pressure, wind and visibility are updated. No clouds at all, even when METAR says broken or overcast clouds. What can I do to fix this?I allready checked some things myself:- FSUIPC 4 is installed- I use Norton Worm Protection, but it has been configured to permit FSUIPC and FSX and AS6.5- Before updating I clear all weather in FSAny thoughts? Here's a FSUIPC log file for extra info:http://www.xs4all.nl/~jveening/Images/FSUIPC4.log

Hi,The first we have heard of this. In FS see if user defined weather is checked on. Does AS recognize your current location? Do you have cloud coverage set to Maximum? Are you limiting cloud layers in AS? Is Favor Cumulus vs Stratus checked Off?Please let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

hmz I have indeed limited the cloud layers to 5 max. However I've had this option for a long time while using AS in FS2004 and clouds were allways nice and covering the sky.Anyway I unchecked the option in AS options and the weather looks much better now in FSX !! It seems FS2004 and FSX interpret these cloud layers differently. Thanks for the suggestion Jim.As for all your other questions I can answer them all positive. So this cloud layer limiting seems to be the problem.I will do some further testing.greetz JVeeningen
