I was just flying around kffz. Hit full clould cover 1/4 vis at kchd. Ain't a cloud in sight in Phoenix today.Checked the AS6 metar which said visibility 400M. Compared to actual metar, which stated visibility 40SM.Any ideas?

Incidentally, the metar from today was:KCHD 012347Z 00000KT 40SM SKC 17/M11 A3002

Hi,BRB!Edit: From what I can see there was some smoke around KFFZ today. That may be the reason for the 400m visibility and why you hit a visibility layer. I just flew around KCHD a bit and did not find anything unusual.
