December 2, 200619 yr I know that weather settings in FSUIPC should be cleared when running AS. I was hoping to restrict outside winds aloft and I do have that set in FSUIPC. However the winds continue at 100+. I guess the two don't work together at all. Am I correct?
December 2, 200619 yr Hi,Things should work out. The steps should be:In FSUIPC Weather Settings Off and Default settings buttons clicked once and never again.Restrict your winds.Run AS and wind should be restricted.Clicking the Clear Weather button should not mess with this. Please let us know, Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
December 3, 200619 yr Well, it doesn't seem to work. I set the external wind restriction to 85 but they still go over 100. I followed the steps you mentioned. I started FS9 first, did my thing in FSUIPC, THEN started AS last. Correct? It's not a biggie deal, probably more realistic this way anyway. I was just wondering.Another question,When I 'import and process' my flight route, I notice the weather does change from the displayed report. Is there any way to get AS to set the weather through the entire flight plan as it first displays? This also is not a problem, just general questions. It's a GREAT wx program!
December 4, 200619 yr Hi,Thanks! If you want the weather to match exactly to the flight plan, then you would run in Offline Mode. Download and save the current weather and then use that weather file. Then your planned and actual weather will be the same.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
