ASV6 Folder and Texture question

Featured Replies

Hello Jim or DamienA couple of questions regarding ASV6 (SU5) with GE Pro (FS9)1. In my ASGWorkTexture folder there is nothing in it. In my ASG root folder there was a Text file named (Submit) and In that file was a bunch of lines that said "error submitting final copy" C:BasefoldermodulesASG GraphicsWorkTextures- then the name of the texture- Network path not found. There were a lot of lines in the file and each one named a different texture. The last time that file was modified was before I figured out that my FS path in the ASG cfg file was wrong (not the right share name for my FS9 folder. I never got an error when ASG was submitting the textures when starting activesky ( WideFS setup ). But I did get intermitten stutters from time to time. Well I got the path correct in the cfg file ( no stutters now ) and noticed that the submit file never gets modified anymore. What exactly is that Submit text file for? And does it matter if it's been deleted or not?2. In my ASGTexturesCloudsCirrus Clouds folder, I can not view any of the texture files in any of the Cirrus Clouds i.e. BKN, OVC, Etc.Etc. folders, However I can view the thumbnails or thru PSP or windows viewer all the other textures. Is that normal or do I have a problem with my cirrus textures? It dosen't seem like I ever see any cirrus clouds in the sim. My Cumulus01 file in FS9 gets modified each time I run AS and FS9 so I know that one is OK. I'm just not sure the cirrus textures are OK. The file properties for the cirrus files says they are what they are 256X256 and most approx 314KB in size.Wonder if you can shed any light on thisThanksGary

Hi Gary,1. That is a troubleshooting file and is not updated usually except on install.2. I am not sure why you cannot view them, but they are the correct dimensions and size. Weather conditions need to be correct to see cirrus and Summer is better than Winter.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

JimThanks for the reply, Ok, I won't worry about the Submit text file. Not sure either why I can't view the Cirrus Textures, Oh well, will keep and eye out for them, Maybe I'll do some flying in Australia and see If any show up.Thanks againGary
