AS6.5 stops responding

Featured Replies

I am having a weird problem with AS6. When I start the program and FS2004 is NOT running, it completes loading no problem. But when I start AS6 after FS2004 IS already running, AS6 gets to when the message "Decrypting and writing WX data to disc..." appears and then just sits there. AS6 then stops responding - in fact this is what shows in the title bar - and all I can do, is to kill it. None of the buttons work.I first noticed this with build 499 but it also occurs with build 533 which I just installed. The weirdest thing is that AS6 used to work fine for me before I had a severe HDD problem and had to wipe the HDD, followed by re-install of XP and all of my software, a month or two ago. So it must be something to do with my PC, not with AS as such. But if someone could give me a clue as to what I could do about it, I'd be very grateful. I have no problems with any other flightsim related software.TVMIA for any help.Emile.
