Weather Radar For FS2004 Display Cutting Plane Panel In Half.

Featured Replies

Hello, Got a situation that has never occured before. I have an AGP 7800 GSOC graphics card... Well I decided to do some changes and set my graphics to the max for FS2004 by making a profile and not letting the graphics be application controlled.. Work's great! One problem I started to get ready for a flight setting up everything and ActiveSky cooking etc.. As soon as I popped up the Weather Radar I noticed anywhere I moved it on the screen from the bottom of the box down was a blank black screen. In other words I could cut the screen in half etc. And when I shut it off everything back to normal I could see my full Cockpit panel again etc. Oh I only noticed the problem when I set my antialiasing settings to 8XS. When I move the settings down to 4X the Weather Radar seems to not cause that problem. Is there anything I can do to make the ole radar weather pop-up without cutting my plane panel and or screen in half without having to cut down on the antialiasing? Just curious not a critical problem just wondering if there was a work around. I can live with the cut-off for a min or two to just see the radar etc... Thanks, Josh

Hi Josh,Thanks for writing. The problem may be with that particular video card and FS. There are many reports of strange happenings that FS users experience. As you have seen, adjusting the AA Level on the card does clear this up. This is the same solution to those who cannot view planes on the planes screen. I would just leave AA at a lower level.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
